Terms of Use
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Intermezzo is a gentle movement reminder for desk workers. These terms explain what it is, what it isn't, and how you can use it.
Not medical advice
Nothing in Intermezzo — including the exercises, stretches, eye breaks, breathing prompts, or mind moments — is intended to substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified physician or physical therapist before starting or changing any exercise routine, especially if you have or suspect any injury, chronic condition, or health concern.
If you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any unusual symptoms while using Intermezzo, stop immediately and seek appropriate medical attention.
Your responsibility & assumption of risk
Physical activity carries inherent risk. By using Intermezzo, you acknowledge that:
- You are voluntarily choosing to perform the suggested movements.
- You will listen to your body and stop any movement that feels wrong for you.
- You are solely responsible for your own health and safety during use.
- Intermezzo cannot account for your individual health history, fitness level, or physical limitations.
You agree to consult a physician before using Intermezzo if you have any condition that could be affected by physical activity.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Variations on a String (the developer of Intermezzo) shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, Intermezzo or any content within it.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
No warranty
Intermezzo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Third-party content
Some exercises include links to third-party how-to videos on YouTube. These are provided for convenience only. Intermezzo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party content, and the presence of a link does not constitute an endorsement.
Mind moments
The optional “Mind moments” feature offers general wellness prompts inspired by cognitive-behavioral techniques. These prompts are not clinical CBT, therapy, or mental health treatment, and are not a substitute for professional mental health support.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of Intermezzo after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
